Barratts Volunteer Day

Shining a Light: Local Volunteers Refresh Souter Lighthouse During Fundraising Event

In July 2024, volunteers from Barratt Homes rolled up their sleeves and joined forces to give the iconic National Trust Souter Lighthouse a much-needed refresh. With paintbrushes in hand, they brought new life to this local landmark while supporting a cause close to our hearts.

Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of Barratt Homes, who matched all funds raised up to £1,000, Billy's Lifeline was able to raise over £2,000. This significant amount will go directly to supporting individuals and families impacted by suicide, helping us continue our vital work.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and donations to this event. Your support, along with the enthusiasm of those who attended the Family Fun Day, made this a truly special and successful day.

Special thanks also to the Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside who came along on the day and continue to support our charity.
